What are your membership requirements?
You must be a resident of certain residential boundaries, all of Monroe County, and parts of St. Clair County, Illinois. Unless the Board votes to give you a waiver. See bylaws for a more detailed description.
What are the fishing limits?
There are signs posted at the lake with limits on possession, size, and types of fish. Any fish removed from the lake must be recorded in the register supplied by the Club. Please observe limits posted on signs. Do not fish with; minnows, goldfish, nor carp. Do not clean your fish in the lake or anywhere on the premises. A $5.00 guest fee is charged for non-members per day per person. Catch and release.
How can I join and what is the cost?
Your best chance for Membership approval is to be recommended by a current member. Then fill out and submit an application to the Board. (address is on application) The Board will screen your application, and approve or deny, based on what skills and assets you can bring to the Club. Your ability to work and/or serve on committees. Whether you were recommended by a current Member and the location of your residence. Following the Board’s recommendation for approval, you must be voted in by two-thirds of the members present at the designated meeting for your induction. You are asked to participate in two workdays per annum. The initiation fee is $100.00 plus the $100.00 per year membership.
What is the procedure for using the clubhouse?
The clubhouse is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is a calendar on google drive to view the dates available, then you must schedule with the Clubhouse Chairman. There is a ($25.00) twenty-five dollar rental fee, a security deposit, and a signed rental agreement. The security deposit will be returned once the club is satisfied you returned the premises the way you found them.
When is the lake stocked?
The lake is closed for fishing for three weeks after stocking which usually occurs in March and/or October
What are the Club hours?
The Club is open 24/7. Members receive a key, and the combination, which serves to open the entrance gate, clubhouse, boats, and boathouse, etc. For all members, remember, last one out, lock the gate; if in doubt, lock the gate. The Clubhouse and surrounding property is under 24/7 video and audio surveillance. Please advise your guest they are being recorded for their safety and the security of the Club’s property.
When are meetings held?
General membership meetings are on the first Monday of each month. The Board meets immediately preceding the meeting at 6 PM. The annual meeting is held in January in conjunction with the regular meeting. . Please plan to attend a Board meeting if you are applying for memberships.
